Free Forest School of Washington, DC Region is a local chapter of the nonprofit Free Forest School (www.freeforestschool.org). Fostering the next generation of environmental stewards, Free Forest School opens the door to nature play and emergent learning for thousands of children by empowering parents and caregivers to provide it themselves. The Free Forest School chapter of Washington, DC Region is a free, cooperative, volunteer-run group for children age 0 to 6 and their parents/caregivers that meets on a weekly basis throughout the year in nearby wilderness areas. We share a snack, take a hike, play in the woods, and have circle time. Parents and caregivers get a chance to unplug and step back
